The DeeZee # DZ91716 is constructed of .056 aluminum tread plate. Due to the fact that the box isn't very large, the box is pretty rigid but I wouldn't recommend standing on it.

I advise against using vice grips as it will tear up the pins. You could use a smaller claw hammer if available. A very small pry bar (crow bar) could work as well. I suppose you could wedge two spoons under it and pry it out that way. Depending on how tight they are you might bend the spoons.
